Coachella Valley resident golf rates and discount cards explained

Live here, or spend the winter here? A city resident card or a course discount card can cut your green fee by more than half. Here is what each program costs and how it works, from the official pages we checked on Oct 16, 2026 (PT). Rules change every season, so confirm with the course before you buy.

Palm Desert: Desert Willow Resident Card

The card costs $52 a year at the Palm Desert Community Center (bring a CA driver’s license or ID and a utility bill from the last 30 days). It gets you a $52 resident rate on tee times booked inside the 3-day resident window, which opens at 7:00 PM. You must show the card itself at check-in; a driver’s license is not accepted.

Anyone: Escena Club card (Palm Springs)

$399 a year, sold in limited quantities, and you don’t need to be a resident. It includes preferred rates, booking 30 days out, up to 3 guests at your rate, and $100 in Golf Cash. Rates booked 4–30 days ahead are 15–20% off the regular rate, and the lowest rates are always inside 0–3 days. Escena reopens from overseeding on Oct 30.

💡 Doing the math: Indian Wells’ $45 card or Palm Desert’s $52 card pays for itself in about one round this time of year (compare the $35 and $52 resident rates with the public prices above). The $329–$599 cards only make sense if you play several times a season. Prices change constantly and are shown as checked. See closures.
